MANUEL DE FALLA

Under the title “Spanish Symphonic Evening” Cristóbal Soler conducted a concert containing Manuel de Falla´s two of his most famous works: The Three-Cornered Hat (suite nº2) and Love, the Magician.
Cantaora Sara Salado sang the intense songs of Candela, the gipsy widow girl still haunted by her husband´s ghost.

ZARZUELA ON CHRISTMAS

Amusing and singular concert with waltzes, polkas, mazurkas and schottishes from famous zarzuelas. The performance was set in a funny “corrala”, an old courtyard in Madrid, where comedians and dancers also took part led by stage director Paco Mir.

First part of the concert  “Spanish Symphonic Evening”, where Cristóbal Soler conducted a selection of Preludes and Interludes of famous zarzuelas.

ANTON BRUCKNER: Symphony Nº 4 in in E-flat major 

Cristóbal Soler´s debut with the RTVE Symphony Orchestra, inside of the “Cycle of Young Conductors” in 2006. In that date, he was assistant conductor of Nikolaus Harnoncourt, in Vienna.

SERGEI RACHMANINOV: Symphony Nº 2 in E minor

Rachmaninov’s melancholy Second Symphony is played by the Orchestra de València under Cristobal Soler´s baton to pay homage to the late conductor A. Garcia Navarro, who was awarded  posthumously with the Medal of Palau de la Música.
