ZARZUELA ON CHRISTMAS
Amusing and singular concert with waltzes, polkas, mazurkas and schottishes from famous zarzuelas. The performance was set in a funny “corrala”, an old courtyard in Madrid, where comedians and dancers also took part led by stage director Paco Mir.

LOS AMORES DE LA INÉS by FALLA
Los amores de la Inés, a one-act farce in two scenes, is the first and only of Manuel de Falla´s six zarzuelas to be actually produced.
It was composed when he was twenty-five years old. The first performance took place at the Teatro Cómico of Madrid on 12th April 1902.

LA VERBENA DE LA PALOMA
La verbena de la Paloma is one of the greatest zarzuelas of all the genre. Bretón composed this score in only nineteen days. He wrote: "I composed in the cafés, the taverns, even on benches in the street.” It was an enormous and instantaneous success. Since then, it has been performed countless times in Spain and America.
