Goyescas, by Granados

Cristóbal Soler conducts Goyescas, opera in one act and three scenes, by Enric Granados (1867-1916) whose premiere in January of 1916 at the Metropolitan Opera House of New York was a complete success. The concert will be on October 14 at the Palau de València. At the concert Soler conduct the Orchestra of Valencia along with the soloists: 
Rosario: Lorena Valero
Pepa: Cristina Faus
Fernando: Alejandro Roy
Paquiro: Carlos Daza.
This concert is part of a series of different programmes and recordings that Cristobal Soler is currently working on to celebrate the double anniversary of the great Spanish composer.
Cristóbal Soler will have a meeting with the audience before the concert. 
He will offer a brief lecture called “Musical Description of Goya´s Paintings by Granados”  that will take place at 18,45h.
Following with his musical defense of the Spanish repertoire, Cristóbal Soler performs Falla who, along with Granados and Turina represents the peak of the Spanish Symphony Heritage in the 20th Century. Love, the Magician (literally, The Bewitched Love) one of Manuel de Falla´s most famous works was performed last June 11th at the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid. 
Soler conducts the Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and cantaora Sara Salado, in the role of the gipsy widow girl called Candela.
