Cristóbal Soler: "I learned of the great masters that one must make a personal decision and if this decision is different from others, must be noted "
Cristobal Soler was interviewed by the digital magazine elsummun.es, during the 1st Edition of the Course on Conducting and Musical Interpretation that took place last July in Torazu, Cabranes, Asturias.
Through the interview he reflected on the important influence of the masters and mentors in the development of his career. He also recalled his beginnings in Munich, Vienna and Zurich as a young conductor, assistant to great batons such as the late Wolfgang Sawallisch and Nikolaus Harnoncourt, or Mariss Janssons and Simon Rattle. Furthermore, he emphasized on the subject of going always to the original source, the manuscripts, in order to study a new score.
